Unidirectional rotating bezel
The unidirectional rotating bezel is a key feature of the Submariner. The 60-minute scale on the bezel allows divers to accurately calculate dive and decompression times, and the Cerachrom bezel is made by Rolex from a special ceramic that is hard, corrosion-resistant and scratch-resistant. The luminescent material of the zero markers ensures that the time can be read clearly even in pitch darkness. The specially designed pitted bezel makes it easy to operate, even when the wearer is wearing gloves or is under water.
