Mellow white dial
A fixed red inverted triangle on the 24-hour offset dial indicates the wearer's chosen second time zone, making it easy to read the reference time in the area where the wearer lives or works. At a glance, it is possible to clearly distinguish between day and night in the second time zone. The dial is equipped with rectangular Chromalight hands and hour markers that emit a long-lasting light that is easy to read.
The 12 small windows around the perimeter of the watch face are characterized by the Salon calendar, with a dark red tab representing the current month. This ingenious mechanism allows the wearer to avoid having to remember to set the date on the last day of a 30-day month. The calendar displays the date correctly throughout the year, except for February, which has 28 or 29 days and needs to be adjusted once a year on March 1st. Since the date depends on the time of day, it changes automatically depending on the traveler's time of day.
Pitted bezel
The Rolex triangle pattern is a characteristic feature of the brand's watches. Initially, the OYSTER bezel's triangular pitches served a practical purpose, helping to secure the bezel to the case by screwing it down and ensuring that the watch was water-resistant. The same was true of the pitched caseback, which was screwed into place with a special Rolex tool. Later, the triangular pitched pattern evolved into an aesthetic design element that has become an iconic feature of Rolex. Today, it is a characteristic feature of the brand's watches, often used on gold models, and the Sky-Dweller's Ring Command system, which enables interaction between the rotating bezel, the winding crown and the movement, makes it easy, fast and reliable for the wearer to select and adjust each of the watch's functions one by one.
White Gold Steel
Gold is a beautiful, noble and fascinating color. Steel is strong and trustworthy. They blend harmoniously with each other, combining their characteristics in an ingenious way. Gold and steel were the hallmark features of Rolex watches from the early 1930s until 1933, when the trademark name was officially registered. It is also one of the distinctive features of the OYSTER collection.
