OYSTERFLEX STRAP

Developed and patented by Rolex, the new Oysterflex bracelet by Sky-Dweller is a sporty alternative to metal bracelets. The bracelet consists of a flexible titanium-nickel alloy piece attached to the case and the Oysterflex buckle. High-performance black rubber covers the metal pieces, making the watch resistant to all environmental conditions, durable and secure. For added comfort, the Oysterflex bracelet is equipped with a patented longitudinal cushioning system that secures the watch to the wrist. In addition, the bracelet is fitted with an 18K white gold OYSTERFLEX clasp, which prevents the watch from being accidentally opened. The bracelet also features the patented Rolex Glidelock extension system designed by Rolex. Concealed under the buckle cover, this innovative racking system extends, without tools, in increments of approximately 2.5 millimeters each, up to a maximum length of approximately 15 millimeters.

18-carat white gold

Rolex has a dedicated foundry that develops high-quality 18-carat gold alloys. By mixing different amounts of silver, copper, platinum or palladium, different types of 18-carat gold are produced: yellow gold, pink gold or white gold. All raw materials are made from high purity metals and are carefully tested in our own laboratories with state-of-the-art equipment before the gold is shaped, with meticulous attention to detail in every step of the process. The pursuit of excellence from the very beginning of the production process has always been Rolex's obsession.

Glossy black dial

A fixed red inverted triangle on the 24-hour offset dial indicates the wearer's chosen second time zone, making it easy to read the reference time in the area where the wearer lives or works. At a glance, it is possible to clearly distinguish between day and night in the second time zone. The dial is equipped with rectangular Chromalight hands and hour markers that emit a long-lasting light that is easy to read.

The 12 small windows around the perimeter of the watch display a compartment with a dark red marker representing the current month, a characteristic feature of the Salon calendar. This ingenious mechanism allows the wearer to avoid having to remember to set the date on the last day of a 30-day month. The calendar shows the correct date for the whole year, except for February, which has 28 or 29 days and needs to be adjusted once a year on March 1st. Since the date depends on the time of day, it changes automatically depending on the traveler's time of day.
