OYSTERFLEX STRAP

The Cosmograph Daytona 18K gold model with Cerachrom bezel is fitted with an Oysterflex bracelet. Developed and patented by Rolex, this innovative bracelet combines the robustness and reliability of a metal bracelet with the comfort of a rubber strap. The inner part of the bracelet consists of two curved elastic metal pieces, one on each side of the strap, and the outer part is covered with high-performance black rubber injection molding. For added comfort, the Oysterflex bracelet is equipped with a cushioning system on the inside of the bracelet and an OYSTERFLEX safety clasp that prevents the bracelet from opening accidentally. The length of the bracelet can be adjusted via the Rolex Glidelock extension system.

18K Eternal Rose Gold

To preserve the beauty of its pink gold watches, Rolex created 18K Eternal Rose Gold at its foundry and patented this pink alloy. Since its launch in 2005, 18K Eternal Rose Gold has been used in the manufacture of pink gold Rolex OYSTER watches.

Day-glo Gold and Glossy Black Dials

The day-glo gold and glossy black dials of the watch feature snailed seconds subdials, gold hour markers and hands coated with easy-to-read Chromalight luminescent material. The central seconds hand is accurate to 1/8th of a second, and the hour and minute counters at 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock show the elapsed time in hours and minutes respectively. This allows the driver to know exactly how much time has elapsed and to decide how to travel the rest of the way to the final destination.
