Olive green dial

The dial is set with diamonds on an 18-carat gold base. Many of the OYSTER models feature a sunray effect that reflects the lightness of the watch. This effect requires a sophisticated brushing technique that creates a pattern of engravings that extends from the center of the watch face outwards. The light is dispersed along the markings, creating a subtle yet distinctive effect that reveals itself in different shades as the wrist moves. Once the sunray effect is completed, the watch is then colored by physical vapor deposition or electroplating, and finally finished with varnish.

Pitted bezel

The Rolex bezel is a characteristic feature of the brand's watches. Initially, the OYSTER bezel was intended to serve a practical purpose, helping to secure the bezel to the case by screwing it down and ensuring that the watch was water-resistant. The same was true of the pitched caseback, which was screwed into place with a special Rolex tool. Later, the triangular pitched pattern evolved into an aesthetic design element that has become an iconic feature of Rolex. To this day, it is a characteristic feature of the brand's watches, and the Lady-Datejust's bezel is made of gold.

Gold is a beautiful, precious and fascinating material. Steel is strong and trustworthy. The harmony of the two is combined with other characteristics. Gold and steel, the signature feature of Rolex, was already present in Rolex watches from the early 1930s until 1933, when it was officially registered as a trademark.
