Mother-of-pearl dial
The dial is set with diamonds in an 18K gold base. Mother-of-pearl is a symbol of mystical charm and delightful surprise. Depending on the source, mother-of-pearl may be pink, white, black or yellow. Its color and structure can also vary according to the part of the shell from which it was taken. Rolex does not use artificially colored mother-of-pearl. Instead, the brand's craftsmen use their exceptional skills to bring out the natural beauty of mother-of-pearl and preserve its original color. Each mother-of-pearl watch face is unique and distinctive.
Diamond-set bezel
Gemsetters, like sculptors, use precious metals to carefully handcraft the setting for each gemstone. The craftsmen set the stones with extreme precision, each one precisely aligned and calibrated in its place to ensure that it is securely adorned in a gold or platinum setting. In addition to the quality of the gemstones, Rolex also places stringent requirements on the gemstone setting, including the height and precise alignment, orientation and position of the stones, the regularity, solidity and proportions of the setting, and the fine finish of the metal mounting. The watch is a dazzling embellishment for the wearer's wrist.
18K Gold
Rolex has a dedicated foundry that develops high-quality 18K gold alloys. By mixing different amounts of silver, copper, platinum or palladium, different types of 18K gold are produced: yellow, pink or white gold. All raw materials are made from high purity metals and are carefully tested in our own laboratories with state-of-the-art equipment before the gold is shaped, with meticulous attention to detail in every step of the process. The pursuit of excellence from the very beginning of the production process has always been Rolex's obsession.
